Suspicious fire at farm just outside Meigle closes A94 and destroys 1000 hay bales
POLICE are appealing for information following a suspicious blaze at a farm near Meigle in the early hours of Monday morning. Tayside Fire and Rescue were called out to the fire at Drumkilbo Farm just after midnight.

Alyth museum reopens this week
ALYTH Museum will be re-opened to the public on Wednesday this week (May 2). Summer opening hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 1pm until 5pm until September. Admission is free.

POLITICIANS John Swinney MSP and Pete Wishart MP will join with members of the Alyth Hill Users Group (AHUG) this Saturday (May 5) to officially open the town’s community woodland.

New buses for Blairgowrie No 57 service
NEW buses mean Blairgowrie commuters will be able to travel in comfort, Stagecoach bosses have announced. The Blairie has been inundated with complaints about the No 57 bus service, ranging from the state of the buses to regular breakdowns and disruptions to the service.

Alyth charcoal project has money to burn
A TRADITIONAL charcoal-making project utilising local coppiced and thinned wood from native woods around Alyth has received a funding boost thanks to players of a charity lottery.
